The stunning gardens of Middle Temple are an oasis of calm in the middle of the city and provides the perfect place for staff of the Inn and surrounding chambers, and residents to relax and switch off in their downtime.

Many of you may have met the Inn’s Front of House Officer, Andrew Durden. A friendly face in the Ashley Building, he welcomes hundreds of members a week who are visiting the library, attending events, or popping into the Treasury Office. But when he isn’t in the Ashley Building, he spends time outside capturing the diverse wildlife and beautiful flowers in our gardens on his camera. Collaborating with the Inn’s Head Gardener, Kate, he documents the changing seasons, and has a large library of photos that he’s taken at Middle Temple.

Here are just a few of the wonderful shots he has taken recently, ranging from curious baby robins and colourful goldfinches to bright foxgloves and spectacular peacock butterflies.
